I know this is an old thread. I just installed mine super easy. Only took maybe 10 minutes. I can actually hear it while sitting and revving up. I think it's louder because it allows for more boost to build. What do you guys think?

a stock evo x bov will fit perfect on the 09 ralliart? and are they louder, another thing, my buddy told me that by installing an after market bov that the mass air flow sensor will be expecting for the extra air to be blown back towards the intake, and it will cause the car to die?

so I know the question may be answered but im still in doubt, if I replaced my bov with an evo x bov, would you really need no tune..? I would assume an evo x bov allows for more everything (im not a gear head, I understand the bov, I guess the question is, does it impact the flow of the car to the point that it needs to be tuned?)

(sorry for the nooby questions.. this just looks interesting..)

At least on mine, Because the nipple is in a diff spot on the X bov it ran better if you run the little hose under the electric wire..

And if needed you can lower the bov itself by lubing up the recirc hose under the bov and shoving it down on the plastic recirc tube, I forget why but that made it all sit better.. I've since swapped to the EVO x pipes.

Now, mine has the nipple pointing to the outboard (5 o clock position)...

I got a longer vacuum line and laid it over the intake snorkel to keep out kinks/bends.

I checked - it does not touch the hood.

So, can i just twist the top to re-clock the nipple? Puzzled still... [shrug]

^ that is very true. Im rocking an EVO IX BPV myself. If you install it at a slight angle, the stock vacuum line will reach, although a bit stretched. I went ahead and got a new vacuum line, 6mm if I remember correctly.
