Plasti-Dip Hood scoop. ??

I need opinions. So far i have plasti -dipped my nose ring, front symbol and the part right beneath the nose ring. Looks real nice.

The next step would be to do the hood scoop. This should complete the front. I would like opinions from people to see if this would flow nicely or now.

Has anyone done this? I know there is a product on ebay that you can fit into the bottom of the hood scoop. I want the whole scoop done.

I think it would look real sharp. Please leave opinions. !! thank you.

p.s. If i end up doing it i will post pics!

I would just buy a matte black vinyl for the hood scoop or a full cf hood scoop from rexspeed that will stands out... And adds 10 more hp lol

I cannot afford to buy a scoop. I'm saving for my borla exhaust. I don't want to buy the bottom piece because that's not enough. I think plasti dipping the whole scoop will add much more character to. The front. I will try it today and post pics by the weekend!

This would be the reason why the plasti-dip on your hood is melting.

I do think that vinyl would be a better alternative for your hood scoop. Even with the heat shielding and such, it still gets pretty hot. And the chances for it melting and getting gunk stuck in it is pretty good.

One of the other members here did plasti-dip is whole scoop, can't remember who...but I think they had some fairly decent results. Dig around show&shine, you might find some pictures of it.

I finished the hoodscoop today. On rotor glow paint it looks amazing!

So far after a long trip its held real nice. No melting at all. I was quite an easy process and cheap.

Overall im very impressed. I have pics, just having problems uploading them. They are 3mb each. That might be the problem

PHOTOS are up. Check them out and let me know what you think!!
