Aftermarket mic installation

Can someone write a how-to on taking the wire up to the original mic location on our cars? I believe the mic is in between the front reading lights. I'm trying to wire my mic to go in there but I don't know how to take the car apart to get the wire to go up there.... Thanks in advanced.

The mic wire is usually pretty thin so I just wedged it into the roof liner. I wedged between the front windshield and the roof liner. Once pressed in, it will stay hidden. The same goes for the A pillar. You can wedge it or just pull the A pillar off.

So you can yank the A-pillar right off?? I was worried about the airbag deploying so I didn't mess with it. Any tips on removing the A-Pillar for the passenger side?

If you are worried about the airbag then disconnect the battery. I removed it without any problems but I guess better safe than sorry. Just give it a little yank and it will come off.

Same thing I did. ran from radio, through dash, into a pillar, and then through the headliner. Mic goes into the spot between the reading lights (center comes out, use a flathead wrapped in a thin cloth). I also ran my radar detector wire this way, it comes out right above the mirror and plugs into the radar detectors behind the sunstrip tint. If a cop pulls you over, just take the detector down and into the center console, and tuck the wire into the headliner. (Radar detectors are illegal in VA, others can keep it connected
