Draining SST

I read all the info I could find on here. I was wondering if anyone had some un-posted tips from their experience on draining the SST to get the most out.

Any tips/suggestions would be great!

Fluid up to temperature, drain all 3 plugs. Let drain until it stops dripping.

Also use compressed air to finish draining the cooler.

For the compressed air, do I just put an air hose into the full hole? Curious what you mean by this. Thanks for your tips on both my questions...much appreciated!

That stuff is pretty thin watch out, it likes to splatter. And I changed mine right after my drive home from work. Damn was it hot...

You can only drain so much out of the cooler by taking off a hose and letting it drain out.

I personally, while I had my filter off put my air gun in the filter housing hole where the oil goes out to the cooler, while the other hose was off the cooler.

Yeah, it does splatter all over the place so make sure you have the open end pointing right at the drain pan, and even then, only use a small amount of pressure.

So you read all of the existing thread (in this very section)?...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...er-change.html

I added my own random pointers to that thread, as did others. Might be easiest and best to keep all pointers in just one thread.
