Also installing an Hid kit on a non projector housing will make it flicker so you would also need an DRL adapter of some sort .

I did it with the bumper off, as I installed them at the same time as my FMIC/UICP/LICP. You could probably do it by just taking off the splash guard though.

The DRLs should not affect the fog lights, just your regular headlight low beams.

Don't think I read about it happening with any 's, but you never know...that's about a 50% increase in wattage.

I melted all my harnesses and blew my fuses about 4 yrs ago when i would run Nokya bulbs

If it were me, I would just sick with SilverStar bulbs if you have the halogen housings. HIDs are much better suited for projector applications.

for the fogs, just by pulling out the fog lamp surround by unscrewing that one phillips screw holding it in, there's enough room where you can reach in and place the ballast wherever you like. i personally chose to stick them along the side of the front bumper support bar so they were elevated and less prone to water buildup, if there was going to ever be any, just in case.
