My new one-off DEV-INtake, lmfao. Thanks to Devin @ Boostin for welding up this beauty. It complements the rest of the engine bay quite nicely, and soon we'll see what kind of gains it's netted me at the track:

What type of paint did you guys use to pain the plastic cover Red? Did you have to sand it down or prime it?

Any problems with no heat sheild on the intake? i hear that you get idling problems or boost problems with having the ac fans kick in when you use it.

For those with the diy intake, the battery blocks the air hitting the intake.

It only really affects it at an idle while sitting still. When the fan kicks on the extra air hitting the intake causes the car to dump some more fuel to balance it out so you get a bit of an rpm surge due to the increased air and fuel. Nothing major, maybe a few hundred rpm and a hair more fuel consumption, if that. I'll have to see if I can get it to happen on video to show how minimal it actually is on my car.

It's a nice quality piece but I'm afraid to get on it cause everyone said it leaned the tune out alot. Just got my aem uego so I'll get it tuned and then let u know how it is.

That looks good. Thats just the stock cover right.

a little cobb love.... ok alot of. (also the wires i'm not extremely proud of but for now it gets the job done till new terminals arrive.
