Project: RallyX Sportback
Project: RallyX Sportback
The going will be pretty slow on this project but I'm super stoked about it so far. Have the basic first steps done....next focus will be on chassis and suspension upgrades.
So far modifications have been basic stuff, intercooler piping, EvoX FMIC, 3" custom dual tip muffler (modified from a STI aftermarket muffler), and the must-do GST basemap flash with boostpill.
I just picked up some old supra wheels from the junkyard the other day and finished them up this morning. I think they look fantastic for $30 a wheel! And of course the mandatory mudflaps.
I have an intake waiting to be installed once I get her properly tuned. After that the plan will be whiteline swaybars, camber kit, waiting on a lightbar to be fabricated for our car so I can throw a few PIAA lights up front and then (after I get my taxes back) the gravel spec suspension available from xross motorsports.

Don't bother with the swaybars or the camber kit. There's no reason to run much over 1 - 1.5* of camber and I'm guessing the stock crash bolts can handle that. On my Evo I run -1.5* front and -1.0* rear.
The swaybars on the car right now are probably about perfect for loose surfaces. Remember, a bigger sway bar throws away grip, and grip is at a premium at RallyX events. Some people don't run them at all, but I think for our "heavy" cars they make the car more responsive without having to go with stiff springs, which once again throw away grip.
And the car looks great!

although id die for just a nice frost, just came in from outside, RA says 4°!
..back to topic, i do like the customer muffler, looks pretty good, and the flaps are key, the more i see them the more i want them (terrible bandwagoneer) i just wish the profit margin wasn't 500% on those simple material products

turns out the front wheels don't sit flush on the hub and the rotors wobble like crazy with them like that...so back to the stock wheels until i can get some spacers custom fit for these wheels.

A few vendors on their are making rally parts for the ralliart and ralliart sportback. Light bars are being tested but TRF has a banging skid plate available. Look at my past threads for pictures and details.

Not trying to go for any look in particular, just enjoying my car. The wheels are cheap and only for dirt so once this paint job on the wheels gets thrashed I'll probably end up spray painting them neon pink or something funny.
