Question Best product to remove water spots?

Hello all,

My Ralliart was parked in a hotel parking lot for a couple of days and I was unfortunately parked next to a misaligned sprinkler. I get sprayed repeatedly and the sun dried the mineral rich water baking little white spots all over the car. Can anyone suggest the best way to get the spots of the car? Wax I would assume for the painted bits but I really see it on the windows and mirrors and I tried CLR (The 'C' being for Calcium) I thought would dissolve some of the spots on the glass but they seem unaffected. And the headlamps, tail lights and wheels, can I wax them or could they get scratched? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks to all! Cheers.

I would find out what it is first. Then problem solve after.

you can use the wax on paint, rims, lights. that should solve those problems. you can even wax the window if you really wanted but i would use a product called invisible glass or similar spray can window wash, for plastic parts i use stoner shine spray.

I run a detail shop the way to remove water spots is clay bar the car and then put a wax or sealant on it wax is ok but it is a natural product ie found in nature sealant will offer longer lasting protection

So if it were me I would get a meguiars clay bar kit and a synthic paint sealant from meguiars read all the directions and take you time and do it right.
Hope this helps

They make specific products for removing water spots from glass for auto, but it's not the cheapest, considering Glass Stove Top Cleaner is pretty much the same stuff!

Home Depot FTW!

Iron Cut might be what you are looking for.

Wash two bucket process, iron cut, then rinse dry off now time to buff with a DA use a medium cuttting pad with a fine polish, speed 5 then wipe off apply a coat of wax you'll be good. If I was closer I would help you out. Here's a car I did last week.

Fine polish or a cleaner wax should do the trick
