****GUYS! Good news******
I was browsin around EVOM and i found this thread.. It might break some of your hearts to say that my 2002 Lancer OZ came with a rear windshield wiper STOCK! I know.. some of you guys would be skeptical and sh*t already.. But when i got my rear windshield damaged from a storm and needed to be replaced, the first windshield came in without a wiper hole, so i waited for a long time and my rear was covered wit a plastic bag while i waited for the RIGHT windshield to come in.. worst nightmare ever.. and it was my everyday car... So it did come in after a long wait.. but i dont remember if they said that it came from Japan since our carparts are from Japan anyways... But none the less.. it means that there is a windshield for our lancers that have a wiper hole.. now the question is would you guys replace your windshield just for that wiper or just really drill or make a hole.. that can be dangerous tho.. And heres the pictures so you guys wont be all talkin smack.. peace!

You can see the wiper stickin out on the back... Just finished washin my car thats why.. FOR SURE THAT AINT PHOTOSHOP!..

ohh one thing tho.. i didnt buy this lancer here in california.. it was shipped all the way from Guam USA.. Well since its a US teritory, im sure my car is still a US-Spec Lancer.. sucks.. well... i was suprised to coz i barely see lancers without rear wipers.. and just realized that now.. I thought OZ's had it.. And oh yeah.. i know people will ask, why did i ship it here.. well for one coz it was paid off already.. didnt wanna start all over again plus it had a couple of bolt-ons already.. peace!

I'll go out on a really really far ledge and make a guess that if the car was paid off before he shipped it here from guam, that he POSSIBLE lived in guam....

 

so can we order these rear windows with the pre-cut hole here? I assume it is different from the evo's rear window. I would love to be able to see out of my rear window when it rains, but it sounds like the only realistic thing to do is to get a rear window with an existing hole......

correct.. i just moved from guam over the summer.. i was born here in cali tho.. but stayed in guam for awhile.. and now that im goin to college, im back here.. and thats one reason why i shipped a Lancer.. Its pretty economical, good starter car.. and plus coz im still young.. Hell yeah i would want an Evo someday.. Someday after college defenitely!!

 

this idea spiratically popped in my head to if anyone has done this. to give everyone a fyi on this... the back glass in the evo and the lancers are the same so all you would have to do is buy the evo back glass and have it installed. then just attach the wiper motor to the body of the car. and for those that ask how i know it the same. i looked up the back glass in the "NAGS" parts book which lists every different piece of glass for every vehicle. the evo glass is not special or different its the same as the oz or es. the hardest part is that the cost of the back glass with the wiper is about $550. so this is do-able but is $700 worth having a wiper in the back glass
