Ads on EvoM -- Vibrant Media
FYI, more advertising on evoM is not going to make me want to stay.
This new IntelleTXT thing is really lame. Suspension brings up an ad for trailer suspension. I am sure that the vendors and other paying advertisers could not be too happy about this.
I hope you change your policy on this very quickly.

HOWTO: Getting rid of "sponsored links"
By now most of you have noticed the new "feature" on the forums. While I understand this is used to generate revenue, this also puts a major hinderance on the users experience and honestly I would rather not have scripts running that I don't allow. Also these links are by IntelliTXT, who is basically a spam/ad company. Not exactly happy about that. It would be nice of the board Admins to let users have the option of having these on or off.
Easy Way (Windows/MAC/Linux):
1) Download Mozilla Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
2) Install Mozilla Firefox (Duh)
3) Download the AdBlock Extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...cation=firefox
4) When you restart Firefox, you will notice a button that says "Adblock" click on this button. Under the "new filter" command line type in:
http://gtrforums.us.intellitxt.com/*
5) Hit OK, annoying links gone!
Harder Way (Windows Users, MAC users don't have this issue with Safari and I will assume Linux users know what they are doing)
1) Navigate to your HOSTS file, which is located at:
Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98/ME = C:\WINDOWS
2) Open the HOSTS file with your favorite text editor, add the following lines:
127.0.0.1 http://gtrforums.us.intellitxt.com
3) Save the file.
This way you can retain IE.
Hope this helps. Shame on you guys for adding these stupid scripts.
EDIT: Updated urls, the original ones were blocking legitimate sponsors.
