for 35R+, go T4 twinscroll

there are a lot of differences, but i dont want to go into too much detail on a public forum.. feel free to email me privately if you have any specific questions
I'm going to have to do that because you know your sh**, and you can tell me what AR etc etc to go with. I want something in the 35R+ range that will give me a huge amount of top end without the lag. I remember you saying the 4088 was a good turbo to go with, and I still want to see the results with that as far as spool. I have the same motor as DB in my car, so going with a 30R or similar I think is a waste IMO... Like I said, I just want to see the spool characteristics of the 4088 compared to a HTA 35R. I got to do something to catch EVODan

We're getting close to finishing my FR 4088r build... just some fuel system things to iron out and then as soon as my tuner figures out what size air-water intercooler core we need, we should be able to start tuning after that goes in. Hopefully by the end of the month...

No problem, I'll try to post some pics and install info (minor issues with fitment, etc). Unfortunately, since I'm stationed overseas right now, I won't be able to get to an AWD dyno until I get shipped home next month (although I might be able to make it to the dyno at the Nuerburgring).

Not to resurrect a dead thread (or hijack for that matter), but I thought I'd update with my FR twinscroll 4088r results now that I'm back CONUS and out of the army... Just finished tuning a few weeks ago, dyno graph shows 91 & E85. Conservative 30psi on E85 and 20psi on 91. Of course, as soon as the tune was done, the tranny death whine started almost right after Once the tranny gets built, we'll probably increase the boost on the E85 tune.

BTW for people in the Phoenix area looking for a tuner, you can't go wrong with UMS tuning.... Tony really knows his stuff and did some excellent custom fabwork too.

Two questions:

(1) What size turbine housing are you using?

(2) Would you mind doing a few pulls from 2000rpm in 3rd gear and tell us what rpm you see the needle reach 20psi? Try to give a figure as accurate as possible.

Thanks guys, btw this is a 2.0 for those that asked.

Ted B, I added the boost map & IIRC that was a third gear pull, looks like 20psi at 4600 on the nose. 1.06 housing.

I know what the dyno says, but that doesn't necessarily represent what happens on the street. When you get a chance, make a few 3rd gear pulls and try to provide that information.

Also, what size turbine housing are you using?
