Disabling EGR and fuel pressure solenoids
NOTE: When removing the entire solenoids and hoses disable the following periphery bits.
Periphery 0/FAA:
-EGR(ign advance) Bit 11 disable(some people leave it on, up to you)
Periphery 2/FCA:
- EVAP> Bit 13,14,15 Disable
- EGR > Bit 9 Disable
Periphery 4/FEA:
- FPR> Bit 7 Disable(When you also disable FCA/P2 Bit 15 that will also take care of the FPR)
Periphery 0/FAA:
-EGR(ign advance) Bit 11 disable(some people leave it on, up to you)
Periphery 2/FCA:
- EVAP> Bit 13,14,15 Disable
- EGR > Bit 9 Disable
Periphery 4/FEA:
- FPR> Bit 7 Disable(When you also disable FCA/P2 Bit 15 that will also take care of the FPR)
When I tried removing all solenoids and following these guidelines I would get a cel and three codes. I have sinced plugged the sensors back in but disconnected from the engine. Anyone else have the same problem?
search "mfred" and the periphery thread he created to add the code to your current rom, I don't think you're doing it properly or disabled any of them.

As far as I know, "Not Supported" is a perfectly acceptable (while "Not Complete" or "Not Ready" is unacceptable). If you run a scanner on your car now, you'll see that there are several tests that are "Not Supported" with a completely stock ROM.[/QUOTE]
Monitor statuses: CAT, EVAP, SEC. AIR, O2, O2 HTR, EGR. Just want to make sure since MR Turco removed egr and rear 02. i just want to make sure 09 emissions in MA is more strict than ever. do "Not Supported Monitors" still qualify as a pass for MA this year...? cause my i can say 1 of 7 monitors may be ready and the rest N/A? will i still pass or is that the inspectors decision? in a way i highly doubt it. i am running catless but in time im installing a cat and rear 02?

Now in this case if I hadn't disabled any of them wouldnt it throw a cel just from them being unhooked from the engine? I have all three sensors unhooked from the engine but connected to the wiring harness. Runs great. As soon as I removed them from the wiring harness I get a cel. I have tried re flashing and re setting the ecu. As soon as I plug them back in the cel goes away.
I have the periphery on my rom if I didnt I wouldnt be able to turn certain ones off. I also did the 0x0001 set to 0 to disable all FCA, once again if I didnt have the ecu flashed with the proper periphery I wouldnt be able to do that correct?

Very happy with this thread! a lot of good, useful information!
