Good luck..... It might be an over kill if you are running stock turbo, unless you are going with a bigger turbo later on......Have them tune you fan to run for minutes after you turn of the engine (cool option)..... and mayne have them set the anti-lag on you would be the first I know of then . Good luck

I don't understand why you say it is an overkill with the stock turbo. Can you explain your reasoning?

Matt

I had the Emanage and then I upgraded to the EMS what a difference...
I do not think EMS is an overkill even for a stock turbo, unfortunately it is an expensive mod but it is worth it!!!

I did the same thing (upgrade from emanage to EMS) and like IHatePorsche said it's definitely a little pricy, but the performance difference cannot be argued. EMS rocks! I'm also still on stock turbo by the way.

I went from AFC/unflashed ecu to AEM EMS. Iv gone from 108mph to 114 with the same hard parts at the same boot/fuel.

The EMS was definatly the best thing I did so far.

This is definately an issue. You won't pass if your state uses a scan tool. My strategy is to have a "known good" ECU reflash that should get me by emissions inspection with minimal hassle. Basically what I'd like to do is swap out the EMS for the stock ECU and throw the MAF back in. If I do a clean job with the wiring it should work out okay.

Ultimately I think it would be cool if someone built a "communication server" that talked to the EMS over it's comm port and then spat out ODB-II diagnostic parameters (timing, ST & LT fuel trim, yada yada) on another comm port connected to the ODB port under the dash. You'll never see this option on the AEM website...
