This is completely uncalled for. Did that person asked you to go to Iraq? Because I highly doubt his EVO is there (middle east is kind of big). I have nothing against you and I was never your customer but many things you post here on these forums and many things I hear about you make me stay away from doing business with you and refer people to you. Please as you keep saying that you are the best tuner again please read about cultures before you make BOLD statement like this.

 

THe situation in the middle east almost as bad as David stated man. I dont see why you got offended... It's a **** hole over there for Americans and I wouldnt want to be there myself..

 

Heh, my wife is Colombian. She doesn't get offended when I tell her I don't want to visit her parents cuz I could get kidnapped. Frankly, looking like your typical "white a**hole American guy", I'm not about to book a ticket to anywhere in the middle east. I guess I'm just ignorant...

 

By the way, any tuners on here interested in hosting a AEM EMS tuning class? Knowledge is the power... I'm more than glad to pay...

 

This is the first time in a long time I've seen a really great thread. I mean we've got world geography/politics and a lot of soap opera, some near fist-fights, and honestly, a whole bunch of good info on AEM and tuning. Really good stuff...no kidding. So sick of seeing "I think my winkie fell off...does anyone know how to put it back on?"

So anyway, I want to thank all the tuners for being present and having these discussions and debates where we can all listen and learn...Thanks especially to Jason for posting on here and enlightening us. It really helps to hear all you tuners talking between each other about this stuff...even if you do tend to get fighting sometimes (Mark and Dan )

I can tell you this....I want an AIT sensor and knock sensing ON

 

If you are an American and not a soldier or a contracted worker, I dont think you should go to the middle east, unless ur willing to risk your life for the money. They hate us with a passion....

 

colombia is the kidnapping capitol of the world(like80%no joke) my freind is from there, told me a ton of horror stories about the gorrillia and how they take a family and send one member to come back with cash.then when you come back with the money they kill everyone.....fuc that paranoid people live longer

 

I'll start with you ez-pass gas, since u obviously are the most intellectual of the crew who conveniently deciphered your own interpretation of what I have posted. . GO BACK and READ IT AGAIN SLOWLY so you dont overwhelm yourself......My car blew up WEEKS ago, my car was tuned MONTHS ago, my car has been driven hard SINCE I BUILT IT,( that's why I bought it and built it the way I did) not to baby it like u say Now take a deep breath, readjust your brain cells and lets continue...........

I make a post asking if anyone else blew up with an AEM? did not say "WHO WAS TUNED BY MARK FRENCH AT TURBOTRIX AND BLEW UP LIKE I DID BECAUSE OF HIM" I asked to pm me so as to keep this rather civilzed, but of course gossip queens like yourself rather say I'm POINTING FINGERS, OK show me the pointed finger. Yes I did say we had one thing in common we were tuned by the same guy, AND? that was a fact Dude, not a fictitious statement. Did I try to call Mark? No, for what? I'm the one that blew the car up, I know that it was probably a bad batch of gas, I've been at this a long time Im not some 15year old pimplehead that never had a built car before. I wanted to know if anything in the AEM tuning could have PREVENTED such severe detonation, besides having the change in weather we were having lately, I knew the car had to be retuned and was in the process of planning a trip to the Buschurs to have the water injection kit installed along with a few other goodies and a retune.
Well guess what, I was still pounding on the car and one day BOOM, oh well.....
I am sure Mark knows very well how I drive my car and would probably expect me to blow up eventually. He knows that and I know that, I know the stock motor would not hold 400 on pump with stock internals forever.......you push it, u risk it on pump gas, have fun, enjoy it and hope this day does not come any time soon. Well it did, I didnot call him and did not mention him until Mark himself comes on the thread and states what he stated. He knows me well enough, and can pretty much know what I'm doin with the car and what happend and with his post he described exactly what happened to my pistons cracking without even seeing it. I had questions, went to Ohio for a trip with the family, left my car in the garage, brought my laptop with maps. showed them to David and he explained what he saw and gave me a heck of a lesson in just a few minutes. He didnot bash Mark or say that Mark blew up my car, he just told me about the knock control, and we both came to the conclusion that the car detonated to hell, and more than likely it was a culmination of bad gas, weather change and being without the IAC sensor, timing, boost levels and such. I was fine with the answers I got from David, and he also knows how I pound on the car, so the bottom line was I BLEW MY OWN MOTOR.........for whatever reason led to it, I'm not going to be a JACKASS to please you drama queens and say MARK FROM TURBOTRIX blew my motor. never said it and never will........and Mark knows it with or without a phone call. So the only one who might have a problem with a shop when they go boom is someone else, not me

 

I declined the offer to go to the middle east to tune a Evo 7 myself as I felt it was too dangerous in that region also. I used to drive through Mexico with my old '91 BMW M5 back in the day but the climate has changed there in recent years and such adventures are ill advised and would likely result in a kidnapping attempt or robbery these days. Americans need to realize that certain areas are high risk in todays world and IMHO should consider travel to those areas very carefully.

BTW - how did we get from knock sensors to interneational travel?

 

Martin at AMS was talking about holding such a class and I will plan on attending if he does.

Here we go........ Dude I also know Mark at Turbotrix is an awesome guy and would help out anyone with a problem too. I never said he wasnt, never blamed him or the shop for blowing up my car.

So why do u say this post should never have been started in the first place? I blew up with my AEM, others have also. People have blown on the stock ecu, people have blown with other units also. That is the purpose of this forum, to discuss issues, good, bad, ugly, and so on. I wanted to know who else has gone thru this, with what system and by who with what method of tuning used........

I remember a few of your posts about blowing up your drivetrain, they were quite useful, and of course just like my thread, the trolls came out and started with the gossip and ripped it to shreds. So my thread was not directed at me blowing up and blaming anyone.....and like you CLAIM that I should have more common sense........RRRRRRRRight Dude

I met u at the shop that day and we shot the BS for a while and shared a few tips, I think ur a pretty cool Dude, so what's up with the comments Dude. :You had questions just like I had questions.....All these other beanbags that come on the post to trash it are not worth the time of day for me and shouldn't be to you either man.

I've had more cars than these people can imagine, know a HELL of a lot people in the drag race, track, street race, and car show scenes. Been in this for over 15 years and have helped a lot of people along the way, so sharing insight is part of who I am so......Like I said before, all these other drama queen trolls dont know where I'm coming from so whatever........

But you, Mark, Jeff, Bean, Buschurs, Big Al and the boyz at Pruven and a lot of other people have met me face to face and know that I say it like it is, take it or leave.......Y'all know the 4BANGR can talk you to death

Because, if the knock control would have been set, which it was not..........the system would have retarded timing and would be less vulnerable to the massive explosion.
The car exploded because of the loose nut behind the wheel How's that? Feel better Fair enough?
