Like the title says I would like to convert to Coil On Plug before getting my AEM tuned but I just want to make sure the AEM likes coil on plug first.

Has anyone done this setup with the AEM? I know I dont have and EVO but DSM's are kinda close to the EVO setup.

Yep I have this. And it runs sweet! Switzer coil on plug w/aem stand alone...see pic.

 

I checked their website and couldnt find anything. How much do those units go for and how easy to install? Is it a plug and play deal? Im very interested in some COP setups, just dont know which brand/shop makes the best one out there.

If you are looking for a quality cdi box, I wouldn't look into the MSD(dis 4 or 2) or the AEM c2di(unless the new box is better). AEM is on a silent hold and the new boxes are due out any day, and the MSD's I have heard many failures in the honda community with the AEM EMS. I am personally using a M&W Pro 14 and it is a high quality product. The 3 boxes I would suggest would be the M&W, Autronic, or the Motec. The 4 channel Motec is actually made by M&W.

Coils, I would stick with the Chrysler coils as it makes for a clean install other than 4 individual coils mounted in the engine bay with plug wires and they are proven to handle what ever you can throw at them.

I don't know anyone that is offering plug and play at this time as the plug connectors are hard to get that plug into the factory wire harness, besides the HKS dli2 jumper harness.

 

Most of the MSD failures I've seen were do to heat. Mounting them on the interior of the vehicle I've never had a problem. The new non potted units are rebuildable also.
