Question car revs up when I let off gas pedal

When I'm driving under high boost (23psi) about 4500 rpm or higher and I go to shift the motor revs to 7000 rpm(not exact) and I have my foot completely off the gas. I have a blitz bov do you think that the bov is to small? Anybody know what would cause this? thanks

Mine does it too, I just thought it was my driving. It almost sounds like a miss shift, thats how I would describe it.

dont know then....sorry. I just wanted to make sure you didnt have the stock ecu in 'cause then it would be normal to have the RPM rise....but now that I read your post closer you go to 7k rpm. Thats gotta be something adding gas...maybe the acceleration enrichment is set wrong.....I am just taking a wild guess mind you or it could possibly be the part that controls your idle (when the ems knows to go to idle after you have your foot off the gas.) Best bet is to go to a tuner. This is why I paid to have mine done professionally.

Sorry I cant help.

I know of two of my Evo buddys that had the same problem turned out to be a faulty TPS sensor.

I really have no clue on this subject, but itwon't hurt to recabilrate your TPS sensor, it's under the Configure----->ECU Setup--->Set Throttle Range.

It's usually the driver not letting of the gas all the way. Alot of people drive like that!

Thumbs up

I found out what caused the problem, I needed a bigger bov It did'nt let all the boost out and it pushed open the throttle. I used a Tiale bov and it fixed the problem.

ok, hmmmm I got the same thing and thought it was set that way on purpose, ...I also have a "big enough" bov (Type RS). TPS check would be a good idea but then it must have gone bad right when I got it retuned because it didnt do it before this particular tune.
