I'm having problems connecting to the EMS. I installed AEMpro from the CD that came with the 1313 box (unit had the new software). The AEMpro software i have is V1.0 and it's my first time trying to hook it up to the ECU

The ignition was in the on position so i'm not sure why it wouldn't connect. Here's what comes up on the AEMpro screen:

what are you using it to connect? this is a common problem.

you need to goto the device manager and see if your ports settings are good, then on aem program, goto ECU/ports and select the right ports for the aem.

use serial to usb or just serial or psmcia card with serial port connection.

iogear usb to serial works. some others don't. psmcia card with serial port connection is the sure way to go. people have some problems with the usb to serial conversions but some don't.
