from what I heard, AC idle is better with aem. also the option to turn off the ac on wide open throttle at any throttle %.

I have to agree with that along with my tuner. We already adjusted the idle and a/c compensation so now when the a/c turns on and off, the transition is much smoother.

Nothing really major to report on a near stock EVO IX w/EMS....

Idle - still working on it.... Rarely stalls now, getting much better. Stock vs EMS on power curve and mivec controls are near same. Awaiting for another day to dyno/tune again.

EMS still maintains power after key removed, runs battery dead after 16 hours of sitting but good for an overnighter. Blew one 10amp main relay fuse, no biggie.

Still have plans for the car as far as power adders, still have conflicting schedules with the shop and my car. Sorry for the slow progress but these things take a bit of time.

So have you discovered a way to not make the EMS run your battery dead?

Sorry, no luck yet, my tuner is still working with AEM on it. Seems they don't have the same issue at another location that has the EMS on another car.

Will keep updating.....

you can use the EMS from the VIII, but you need a wiring harness for the MIVEC. If you want to use the VIII EMS, PM me and I can try and get you the wiring harness. Works fine, and doesnt drain your battery.

A/C is kept with the AEM EMS, but I think you can set an A/C shut off with either Throttle Position of RPM, i forget.

And for the EMS still maintaining power, is the Main Relays or something like that hooked up and wired properly? By reading the wiring diagrams, i think you should be able to have an easy fix for that.....
