Is there a evo specific aem?

I have a friend who has a aem unit from a old talon. Could I buy the sensors and use it?

All the AEM EMS computers are the same. You could even get an old Honda or Mazda one and it would plug right in. And you don't need to buy new sensors, you don't even need sensors. It's really smart, so it just knows what to do.

If you don't believe me, just do a search and take some time reading a few posts, which you should have done before you posted this thread.

I hope you're being sarcastic.

ahhhhh *deep sigh* ... wow ... I don't know what's worse....
that he started this thread in the first place?
or that you couldn't tell I was slamming him?

Anyway, the Talon uses a 30-1300, the Evo VIII uses a 30-1313, the Evo IX uses a 30-1320, and no they are not interchangeable.

There's a lot of idiots in this forum saying a lot of stupid ****, it's really hard to tell who's being a dick and who's stupid.

fusion,

The DSM computer would work if you had the desire to hard wire it into the car. Not worth the time. If it's a 2g box it will plug right in but a few pins need to be swapped.

It's not worth the time, just buy a new one.
