AEM Serial guages.

Well, I finally got around to installing my AEM serial gauge, and I have to say I love it! Being able to programe the LED display that goes around the digital display is a great thing. For example, on my wide band O2 reading I have it set up to do a green LED sweep from 14:1 to 16:1 (normal cruise and idle range) and on the same set of LED's it sweeps from 10:1 up to 11:1 in yellow from 11:1 to 12:1 in green, 12.1:1 to 12.5:1 in yellow and from 12.6:1 up to 13.9:1 in red... this of course is my WOT range with the red being BAD of course

I did multiple LED sweep readouts for coolant temp and boost pressure and vehicle speed as well (up to 65 mph is greed LED's, from 66 to 75 has yellow LED's and 76 and up in red)

I love this thing, and if it was just a bit cheaper I would have 3 or 4 more of them.

its like $299 retail right?

I'm planning on getting 1 aem serial gauge, a stewart warner boost gauge,
the engine oil temp, oil pressure and then water temp gauges.....

Does the serial gauge have a wideband built in?

You can either have the laptop plugged in to the EMS or the gauge plugged into the EMS.... I don't know if you can use the additional pigtail to have both pluged in at once, but that is NOT addressed in the instructions, so I would not try it without clarification from AEM.

The serial gauge works with any perameter you can measure with the AEM EMS.... so if your EMS has the built in wide band then you can read it with the gauge, along with boost pressure, and water temperature. If you use basic sensors inputed to the AEM EMS for your additional readings you want (oil pressure and oil temp) they would also be able to be read on the serial gauge.

Did you set up knock on your serial gauge? I set up all of the other readouts that I want, but I can't figure out how to set up knock. I didn't see it as one of the choices on the menu of available gauges.
