Need help, swapped out AEM EMS to stock ECU, now throwing codes!!!!
Hello all,
I need some help here, I'm due for inspection in a 2-3 weeks, so today I swapped out my AEM EMS and put the stock ECU in. I put the MAF back in and disconnected the AEM AIT, but plugged in the MAF plug.
I undid the wiring to the 5-Bar map sensor and ran the wires like stock to the stock MAP sensor.
I also swapped in the stock injectors.
so with everything done, I started up the motor and let it run for a few minutes and guess what I'm throwing 6 codes:
p0113- IAT sensor 1 circuit high input
p0102- maf or vaf a circuit low input
p2229- Barometric pressure circuit high
p0243- turbo/sup wastegate solenoid a malfunction
p0106- map/baro ckt range/perf
Can anyone help me to resolve this? I do recall that I have to go out and drive for like 100 miles or so before going for inspection, but this is really discouraging....

update:
I disconnected the meth input wire to the ECU harness and soldered everything back together thinking it would solve my problem with the last 2 codes, but wrong....
These 3 codes still remain....

Be sure it is completely dry before plugging it up and energizing(key on) it. The stuff dries pretty quickly so it should work ok.
I have to do this to the german cars I work on every day

brakleen or some CRC brand qd contact cleaner seems to work the best, spray some of that on there and use a small brush to agitate it a tad, and possibly put some die-electric grease on them before you plug it back up. You can spray it and plug/unplug it a couple times to, and then spray it clean again.

UPDATE: I've solved the problem see pics below
The 3 codes I was throwing sure were MAF related, lo and behold I just had to reconnect the two wires for the AEM AIT in the stock location and plug up the Boost control solenoid.....
I then soldered up everything together, hooked everything up, started the car and voila it runs smoothly..... with the HKS 280 cams it idles like stock with an occasional lump lump here and there, I checked for codes and guss what???
PASS!!!!

ya know, sorry I did not catch this but you said you reconnected the stock map, and just unplugged the aem iat, never said anything about reconnecting the stock iat built in the maf.
Sorry, I guess I just assumed you knew you had to do that and did it.
I'm guessing you didn't install the aem stuff yourself?

But now I can do the installs myself, and convert to Speed density..... getting the AEM set up properly and actually tuning it is beyond me right now, although I do know how to navigate around the AEM's menus....

update:
I tried to go for inspection today and was turned down cuz my advans were bald....I was kinda complaining at the guy but i'm glad he turned me down anyway since I am throwing a P0172 code w/o knowing it.....
How can I resolve it? I'm thinking I will need to put my stock fuel pump back in .....other than that I'm running on the stock ECU, MAF, and injectors ......
This is becoming a pain in the butt....

P0172 OBD-II Trouble Code
Technical Description
System Too Rich (Bank 1)
What does that mean?
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Note: This DTC is very similar to P0175, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.
Symptoms
You will more than likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a misfire.
Causes
A code P0172 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters (K&N, etc.) can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
* There could be a vacuum leak.
* There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem
Possible Solutions
Possible solutions include:
* Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
* Cleanthe MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
* Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches
* Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail
* Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced.
* Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)
