if the only fault you have left is the p0172 i would have to say it is from the fuel pump, if all your other mods are removed.

Thats a good theory, but I spoke to AMS and a few other shops and they told me that it is unlikely....

but one can also argue that the high pressure FP is pushing way too much fuel, therefore causing the rich condition... I dunno....

AMS or what ever tuner/shops that you talked to may know more about your current situation, if all things on your car are stock and you have a 255 in it i can almost be 100% sure that is your problem.

note: you called it a high pressure pump, its not a high pressure pump at all just a high volume pump. the fuel pressure regulator regulates pressure hence the name . if it is able to do its job properly with that pump installed is the question??? swap pumps its easy enough and stop theorizing

Thanks, I think I might have solved the problem, the intake cam setting was not set at 0,0 as it was set at +2 int, 0 exhaust......

I did this setting and ran the car for 10 minutes till it warmed up and had no codes.......

Looks like I'm gonna have to have someone flash my ECU with different fuel maps to I can pass and not throw this damn P0172 code....

EDIT:

I found out that the HKS 280's were causing the P0172 code to appear. basically I had to put the car back to stock, i.e. stock ECU, injectors, MAF, stock cams, stock Fuel pump in order to pass.....

Once all the codes disappeared for good, it took me about 10-15 miles of highway driving at moderate speeds to get all the ECU "monitors" into a ready state.
It does pay to have an OBD2 tester on hand

I went for inspection today and passed:

I'll be converting back to EMS once I return from vacation ....and more go fast goodies will be going on once I return.
