Drivability

Hey guys, heres my situation, long story short, my car drives like sh*t. If I baby the gas pedal it will drive alright, if i go WOT it's smooth, anything other then that, it's jerky as hell. I was tuned by The Shop in CT but it wasn't really a full tune, they did what they could with the timeframe that they had. It was then looked over and touched up a bit by a local tuner where I live.

Any ideas if this is normal because of the AEM and 1000cc injectors? I heard the driver box that I have helps drivability but unless it wasn't tuned right, it doesn't work lol. All of my mods can be viewed in my signature. Does this sound like a tune issue or is this just the nature of the beast? Also, if i go half throttle and start boosting...forget about it, the car bucks and jerks so bad i have to either gun it or back off on the throttle. Again, not sure if it's the combination of the alky, 1000cc and the AEM or if my tune is just that far off.

Any help would be appriciated, thanks guys!

Its all in the tune. My car drives like butter everywhere in the rpm range. part throttle is great, its very smooth.

Its all whos behind the keyboard. Sounds like you need someone who knows what they're doing.

Your in NY, I would suggest giving Mark at TurboTrix a call, he knows what hes doing.

Last time I brought my car to TurboTrix they had my timing zero'd out across the whole table, and spoolup was very poor until I had someone readjust my timing. Why does it seem like it's so hard to find a good tuner who will spend some decent time tuning the car? Are you running AEM also?

Did you call them up and ask them about it? They're pretty cool dudes and would take care of it.

Yes I'm running AEM and Mark has tuned it about 12 times now, everytime flawlessly.

I haven't called, only because I would have had to drive back down there which is about a 4 hour drive from NY to their shop in NJ. I think I might just wait until the spring to get a full re-tune, the car is going to be put away for the winter soon.

not yet, I've heard he is one of the best AEM tuners in the country though. I think I may wait until the spring to have my car re-tuned, theres not much more time to drive my car anyway this year.

+1 On Sean, I would definitely recommend you go to him to get tuned!
