Cold start Warm start!

I keep hearing about bad cold starts but I crank over on about 3 cranks when cold but when warm it takes about 8-9 If im lucky Even had a few people come over with jumper cables thinking I need a jump. Anything I can do to improve the warm start up?

More accurate tuning is your best option, all of your trims need to be spot on for all temps to provide the best startup hot or cold.

Could it be your starter? I had a similar problem and one day my starter just **** the bed. After installing a new one the problem went away.

EMS has a long crank.. cold or hot.. The better your tune is the faster it will start. I'm on a small battery and don't have any starting issues.. just a long crank in the cold.

No my problem is not the cold start. It starts faster then with the stock ecu when cold but when warmed up it takes alot longer

Then You need to modify the (Start extra Decay graph). In Engine Start/ Advance start/ Start Extra Decay table/ Graph. make sure the car is up to temp, and add or subtract in that area of temp.

You probably need more crank injector time and warm up enrichment. As soon as the Stat Sync'd notes being ON it should be trying to fire up.

Warm start is too lean when the warm up enrichment is gone.

You will want to add more cranking fuel, you might have to take down some of the cooler areas of the warm up enrichment table if it starts rich when it is cold.
