Running extremely rich at startup...

I'm new to AEM EMS, but I'm a bit confused over something. I set everything up as it should, scale the injectors, and everything seems to be good. When I start it up however the UEGO reads 10.0-11.0/1 afr. Something I did notice is in the parameters is that the "Target AFR" reads 7.32...

I'm lost, any suggestions?

Im having the same problem with mine, it just started happening. The AFRs usually even out for me after about two miles. Sometimes the fuel pump primes extremely fast, faster than normal.

But what about the parameter of "Target AFR" that reads 7.32?

So I think I may have found the problem. My map voltage is reading 1.27volts at idle and making the engine load go nuts, so it's dumping fuel in the cylinders. So I guess I need a new AEM 5 bar map sensor

target o2 is o2 FB. Are you using o2 feedback? Chances are its either the FB tables or warm up enrichment.

Volts with the car off is still 1.2-1.3volts. The load is 98-100kpa

That is def. your problem. If you didnt have this issue before and your cal was running right before, then youre having MAP problems.

I'd replace the map and if you still have issues I'd check your warmup enrichment tables

Have you verified your AFR units is set to Gasoline? I suspect that it is not with "7.32" comment.

AEM after a fresh install is NOT set correctly to AFR Gasoline even though it may show that as the option. Go to the units setup menu and click something else such as Methanol, press apply, then set it back to the gasoline option and press apply again. Your AFR output should now read correctly.

His target feedback was reading 7.32 not his actual a/f
target o2 saying 7.32 is just saying what the o2 feedback table is at that axis. Obviously if the map is set to target 7.32 o2 feedback is disabled.
Like one mention the voltage is off with the sensor. Id be looking in that area like you already did.

Yea, after reading it again more thoroughly when I had time to, I'd have to agree myself.

OP let us know how it goes.
