Fuel pump not priming/no start
Hey guys,
I swapped my EMS back in and it started/ran fine at first but later on I tried to start it again and the fuel pump wouldnt prime and the car wouldnt start. I'm positive it has something to do with the EMS since the car ran fine with the stock ECU. I have no idea how to read the EMS. I'm not sure what firmware is loaded onto it. Would somebody be able to give me any advice or maybe look at my map? Let me know thanks
Fred

If you have your .cal on your computer, you can email it to me and I can run through your startup and whatnot. Bspectuning@yahoo.com

Possibly a crank angle sensor thats dirty or loose????
You need to get a data log of what is going on with your AFR's when it dies.
How old are the pumps? How old are the relays? You might need to get a volt meter and start testing voltage. How does the battery look, try to toss a new one in.

Checking the EMS is simple. Connect with aem pro to the ecu so you can see live data. Click the icon that says tuning. Click the "locked" tab at the top of the parameters window. Select LS6 if you have an evo 8. Now crank the car and see if it reads "ON". If so then connect a multimeter to ground and set it to ohms 20. Then check pin #22 for ground when you crank the engine.
If you have ground then the problem lies in the relays or pump. If it does not read on, then their would be an issue with the software or tune. If the ecu reads "ON" while cranking but you do not have a ground signal, then the problem is the ecu drivers and will need repair.
Another way you can tell is to move pin #22 to a different LS driver and reassign it in the tune. Then see if you still have the same problems with it not running at times.
