Evo 8 Won't start it please help

Hello, i have a big problem with my car, i hope someone will have any idea what is going on with my car.
Here with go, I have an evo 8 with AEM EMS have reselling tuned it was working ok until last Friday my starter when bad, well I took my car to the shop, the mechanics wanted hear the started so he asked me to start the car many times, after some few try’s he told me to leave the ignition key on because we would tried turn the engine direct from the starter, well after a few run he asked me to start the car with the key, then I found that the pump did not prime any more, also any time I remove the key the radiator fan doesn’t kick on any more, the spark disappear as well, the electrician check everything and he got signal from the crank, cam and everything else seems ok the ecu receive all the signals and power, he said than the 5v signal doesn’t come out from the ecu, so we though than we have a burn out EMS then we try with the oem ecu and does the same thing well we scanned the car with the oem ecu and the immobilizer code come out, but it won’t affect the AEM EMS right? So i don’t know what is going on, I have already 4 day without my car…. Please help

Sounds like your EMS is fried.
Why would your stock ECU have problem with the immobilizer?
Are you on Speed Density now?

By the way, i have almost the same configuration 2.3L/6262pte/aquamist, what psi are you running to beat the tt trans am?? can you paste the video link, i would like to see it.

Yes, the car crank over, not fuse blow.

sounds like the ecu.

is there anyone local that is willing to let you borrow an ecu to try & start your car with your cal file?

heck, it would go good to see if you can hook up to the ecu!

I had this happen to me once before. I had to unhook the battery, unhook the ems, let it sit for like 1 hour, and reboot the laptop.

After all that plug the ems back in, connect the battery, put car into acc, turn laptop on, once you are in windows, plug in the serial/usb cable. Then try to connect.

If that does not help then I would give AEM a call and see what they have to say about it.

Worst case you will need to mail them your ECU for repair.

What? Your immob. has a problem. Get your immob. code and start the car... ??? Or put a tephra rom on it from a EDM evo 7 and delete immob and see if you get spark. Check th ecuflash section.

Check parameter "stat sync" in the starting parameters section. If it turns "on" while cranking both cam and crank sensor are working. If it does not, you have an issue either cam or crank sensor. If "stat sync" is not turning on the coils/injectors will not fire. You can check parameters "T2per" which is cam sensor output and "crank tooth period" which is crank sensor output to see which sensor is not reading properly.

What ended up being the problem?????

I just finished my Built motor install with my bigger fuel system and turbo kit. Went to start the car on the stock ecu but it wouldn't prime the pumps. Found the ecu wouldnt supply ground for the second fuel pump relay. My buddy put his aem in the car and the pumps primed and tried to start the car but the coil pack fuse popped. So we said ok put a 15 amp fuse in and I found an aem on the forums here. Installed the aem and the pumps prime and rail sees pressure and plugs get spark but my car still won't start.. at a loss right now. I'm pretty sure both sensors synced up but is it possible one could be bad and still sync? Any help please

I'd start your own thread. This sounds like a complex issue. Start from the beginning and don't leave out any info.
Good luck to you!

PS this a really old post. Best to PM the original poster.
