Confused about AEM ems v2. Need help.

Ok so I know there is probably something out there but I really didn't feel like searching for hours. If I get the AEM ems v2, it says boost controlled, does this mean I still have to get their boost controller? I have a Greddy prof spec b2 boost controller. And I also want to get rid of my maf sensor. Does it come with everything I need or do I still have to buy their conversion kit (if there is one) to map or speed density? I was going to run stock (flashed) ecu with Gm 3 port solenoid with out getting rid of maf sensor. But my tuner said go v2 it's all plug an play. I know the ecu is but what about boost controll and switching to map or speed density . Thanks for help. Forgot to mention I have a 2003 evo viii Gsr.

you can run what ever boost controller you want. It is just like the stock ecu. Just be sure to set your boost cut limit to the correct value for you.

So since I already have my Greddy one installed and isn't connected to the ecu at all how does AEM ems controll boost? My stock solenoid is just plugged in no vac lines connected at all. I'm just not seeing how the Ecu controls boost. Or correct me if I'm wrong, it will controll boost with a Gm 3 port wired in? I have never really understood this concept yet.

Sorry if I'm sounding like a fool right now. I just got funds for my build and I'm trying to figure out what to go with.

either solenoid will work the greddy one or the gm one will both work controlling boost through the ecu. They just have to be wired to it

you need to replace your oem bcs, and wire in the GM or AEM/Mac one. Then you need to tune your boost control system. Your best bet is to get on the AEM Forums and do a search for boost control and start reading. It is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, however you will need to read a little be to understand what to do.
