Same question : it seems that datalog can't be performed on password locked ecu. Is it true?

This is.....stupid. So i can't conect a digital dash to the ecu also, because it doesn't stream any datalog data.

Then tell your tuner to unlock it. It's a crime if he/she locked it without your permission.

Yes contact your tuner or who ever created the CAL and have them unlock it. You could write some brute force app to break the password. You can also try the shop name or phone number as the password.

i ran into the same issue. i needed a new tps and i couldnt adjust it with aem because CLM motorsports locked the ecu. i contacted them and unfortunately they wanted me to tow the car over 2 hours and refused to unlock the ecu remotely

Thats bull****! I can't believe shops do that! its almost cheaper to just get a retune. Why would they need the car towed when they can give you the password over the phone.

they won't do it. i am not the original owner of the car, i bought it with the aemv2 and the tune. when i got home i realized the tps was lose and pretty much fallen out of the throttle body.

i sent them a message on facebook and they refused to help me out unless i drove the car there. pretty pissed to say the least and now i have to pay another tune for a full e85 tune(which is already on the car) and a pump gas tune since e85 isnt very local to me
