The 8/10/12 are a bit more but the 6/8h can do the job.
The 8/10/12 have more inputs and outputs. There are a few other differences, the Boz would know the others.

Has anyone tried to configure the ecu for rotational idle control?

1. Can the 2 step be configured to a specific boost target?
2. How is the flex fuel capability? Will i have to switch my settings or will the computer do all the adjustments based on the ethanol content?
3. Will the sensors from series 1 and 2 work with infinity, or will i have to purchase new ones?
4. Anything that you dont like about the infinity?

Thanks in advance.
I'm also interested in knowing your thoughts on these questions

just because of the 2150 injectors the infinity will give you like stock driveability. but 700 on stock ecu is cake too. only benefit really to the stock ecu is emissions.

1. dont see specific boost target settings for it, but dont see why aem couldnt add it.
2. computer does all the adjustment once the car is tuned for the mixtures.
3. all sensors work, no need for anything new.
4. once the software and firmwares mature it will be even more solid, but for what it is right now its great! so only thing missing is keeping the stock ecu around for passing emissions.

ok... so im about to drop some cash on the 6...

I have been wanting a standalone for awhile and i have a 8 motor i will be putting in a 9 just for the fun of it... and its my understanding that with the infinity it will let me run the non mivec in a mivec car.

and... all the other advantages of a stand alone.

Yes, the Infinity has boost-target based 2-step/antilag. You can set up trim pot adjustment switches, on the dashboard for instance, to adjust almost anything on the fly, including 2-step RPM, antilag launch boost target, boost target, fuel/ign trims, traction control, multiple maps, etc.

Guys, can someone shed some light on the reduced low outputs with the 8h vs the 6, any examples?
It becomes whether the person would want to run low or high imp injectors as that's where they differ aside from the 8h can support 8 cylinders (incase it can be carried over in the future )
thx

I called AEM and got my answers  ….. low outputs in the sense that if there are external sensors you would like to control such as triggering a secondary pump…etc, with the 8h you will have less outputs to control vs the 6. Also, the 8h will only accept high imp injectors.

The big thing with the 6 vs 8h is knowing what injectors you are going to run and how many I/O's you need.

Outputs
EBC
Second Fuel Pump
Meth Injection

Inputs
Fuel Pressure
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
AIT
Clutch Pressure
MAP
12 Position Trim Pot

For me because I will always run the High Z injectors the 8h would be a good match. But if you want to be flexable and run High or Low injectors the 6 is where it is at. Both connectors are the same so it is really all about what are you going to use it for.

I have the standard 8, which has the two connectors and a boat load of I/O's. More than I will ever need. The second connector is more or less empty. So I wish the 6/8h was out when I got mine because the 8h would have my name all over it.

"The Boz" had done such a great job promoting the AEM Infinity, I ended up getting myself a one

Infinity -6 with the plug-in-play harness. Waiting on the o2 sensor kit to arrive and will start installation.

Thanks for all the help fellas!
