EMS Results @ Drag Strip
Just wanted to post another about another EMS customers results from this last weekend. Customer's car came in with RMR intake, buschur 3" turbo back w/cat, MBC, walboro 255, cusco clutch, dyno flash. His best time before the aem ems was 13.708 @ 100mph (21psi). After I installed the EMS I tuned it using the MAF, because the customer didn't want to convert at this time to map which I suggested. He went back to the track, nothing else different ( except EMS ) and runs 12.605 @ 106.93 ( 20psi).
Just another example of how well the EMS works. Best part is that his car runs off all of the factory sensors and MAF so all he needs to do is plug back in the factory computer and he is done if need to take to the dealer or for emissions.
Wow with all those parts, he only managed 13.708??? Or was that his stock times??? I realize tuning is important but why would somebody run slower with all those parts than stock times? My experience with modifying turbo cars has never resulted in slower than stock 1/4 mile times, and with great tuning, times would get even better.

That seems really odd that he only ran 13.7 in ATL with all those mods. I ran the same in Fayetteville (roughly same altitude and relative humidity variations) on just a cat-back and cone filter. The sixty foot times were only .10 higher than mine so how does that compute to a full second slower at that particular track? As a famous ficticious detective once said, "something is amiss".
yeah i mean we know you guys are on of the best EMS tunners along with Bushurr but i think it mihgt be a little missleading with such a slow time before EMS....i ran a 13.9 stock..then a 13.5 catback, 13.2 with intake and downpipe. amd was in the 12's with reflash, know i just suck and have 8 grna din the car and am still at 12.1@116!!! but seriously, id liek to see the time slip as well or fully copied to look at, good tune none-the-less.......

Maybe running the 21psi on dynoflash was to much... i've seen most doing 20psi. He could have been knocking/pulling timing which slowed him down considerably. A lot of evo's i've seen with that setup are running low 13's high 12's with consistant 1.8-1.7 60' times. I think that is why he dropped boost with ems as 21seems to high without upgrading a bit more in fuel area. Just my .02

Hey everyone, I'm the one in questions here. First of all, let me tell you that everything doug has said is correct. I'll post slips to prove it. If you don't believe us about Commerce being a crappy slow track, ask ANYBODY in the ATL area that goes to the track, and hear the complaining. And I'll prove everybody wrong right now and everyone will be a "believer".
I went to Two different tracks and you will see that Commerce is indeed a "SLOW" track! First two are commerce, then the second two are Englishtown, at that point i had still the basic mods like doug described. The last two is with the AEM notice the big difference, Also the last two were at COMMERCE! Basically a picture is worth 1000 words, well that's six pictures here. Stop hating. Doug is the MAN!
