Good experience at Anaheim Mitsu
I’m sure everyone already knows the story:
I bought my car from Bryan at Anaheim 1 year ago. There was promise that an aftermarket Navi was to be installed on my car with the purchase. A nice Kenwood one I might add (valued at over $900). This is what was promised and even guaranteed by Rasool the owner of Anaheim. It doesn’t matter how many times he denies it, he told me to “call back next week to schedule a day for it to be installed.” 1 year later, nothing. They even promised other things like lifetime oil changes, switching out my lights with HID’s, etc, but nothing. Nonetheless the navi became the deciding factor in me signing the papers. Many of you have had the same experience and to my knowledge, no one else received anything.
Fast forward to July this year, I was contacted by Jack that was taking over the marketing for Anaheim. He saw a lot of bashing and contacted the people that were affected, including me. He asked if I was ready to talk, and of course I was. I’m always ready, however, I doubted Rasool was ready. I spoke to Rasool on several occasions and he denounced all of my claims when he knew what was going on. I finally got his attention when Jack got me a phone appointment with him. We spoke for some time. I let him talk first. He finished and I began. I only started talking for 2 minutes when he abruptly hung up on me pissed off. I did not say anything offensive or anything, but apparently THOUGHT I did. The marketing people were shocked at his behavior, but I wasn’t. I knew his temper would somehow ruin everything. Jack and Nick (the marketing people) talked with him after and told him I did not say anything offensive, which was true.
I worked with Jack with Rasool out of sight. I communicated with Jack for months and was finally able to meet with him and Nick. We talked again about what their goals were for their business as well as their work at Anaheim. I felt more confident that Anaheim might change, but I cannot say for certain that it will. I believe some individuals there can change things and have been trying hard, but some still have the old mindset of screwing customers. If they get rid of those individuals, I wouldn’t mind heading to Anaheim for service or the purchase of a new car.
As for the things promised when I first bought the car, I got none of them. I received some parts and a promise to have free oil changes from now on. Yes, it is nowhere near the monetary price of a Navi. I’m still upset about it, but I’m moving on. I’m confident that Jack will hold up his promises to me as he has held up all of his promises to me thus far. I can tell some of the people at Anaheim are friendlier and even ask if I needed help. Last time I visited, at least 3 individuals tried to start up conversation. Before Jack and his people started, not a single person paid attention to me. Also they are getting more involved with the community and promoting things. I would like to have that remote controlled Evo that was sitting on the conference room table BTW.
A word of advice, whether you’re dealing with Anaheim, South Coast or any other dealer, make sure everything is on the car and delivered as promised before you sign. Once you sign, you’ll NEVER get what was said during negotiations unless it is on the car or already written down. I have met people screwed by other reputable dealerships that I thought would never have the problem. Anaheim is not the only one with this problem in the past.
I’m just saying.
So thanks Jack for everything and we’ll keep in contact. Good luck with everything. If you need advise, I'll let you know.
I also hope that the mods will bring back most of the posts that were deleted. It will help tell the story.

I don't think OP had a issue with the dealer. He did mention that he had a good experience with them but he question if his $24K deal on a brand new Ralliart was a good deal on the second thread.

Wow Popdakebin, I thought pretty much everyone got tired and just moved on. After numerous pm's & calls with no responses, I got frustrated dealing with them and stopped. I think most people who bought the car late last year with promise of Kenwood Navi system did the same thing.
AND YES! Always make sure everything you are promised for is ON THE CAR when you pick up!
