Iloilo, spent some of my formative years working on guimaras island in the late 80's... kabalo ka pa ng ilonggo gid? when you return you will notice that nothing has changed in iloilo except for the new airport in cabatuan, sta. barbara. the roads are still the same as they were built just after the WW2...the people are still one the friendliest..its as if time stood still...if you want good/fresh seafoods eat in breakthrough on villa beach..there are new places to go out at night near the diversion road.. I go home as often as i can.. When I am there we stay in Ledesma st. near the tanza church..

I went to elementary school for couple of years in San Jose/Plaza Libertad/Molo, not too far from the port, never set foot in Guimaras though. I understand Ilongo very well but having a hard time speaking it now... in Guimbal we mostly speak Kinaray-a. Thanks for the heads up, I will check out those places you mentioned in 3 weeks.

This totally sucks! To think many nurses in the US are Filipinos. Even Malacanang is asking for an apology from Teri HAtcher and the producers of the show.

It really sucks. I am very proud of Filipino doctors and nurses who are very dedicated to their jobs abroad, some in fact are making names worldwide. That was so uncalled for. Even my wife had threw away her Desperate Housewives DVD. I am proud to be Pinoy and I cannot stand any form of mockery over our nationality or our country no matter how crazy stuff may get at times.
