At this stage it is still the N/A beast with mods as listed.
WE will be fitting the turbo system and manafacturing the intercooler using an EVO 6 intercooler sometime in January. With xmas it is too hectic to pull the car off the road for a month to finish the whole system off.

Went to the MPH drag wars today.... turnout was pretty poor - probably
only 30 cars racing... I was disappointed and I feel for the RPW guys who really put on a great event. I just hope there are more in the future. My only criticism is that there appeared to be more trophies given out for not racing (show/shine, stereo etc) than for those that did - in the end you want people to race and so should reward the ones that do.... other than that I couldn't have wished for more.
I got 13 runs without even trying so good value for money. My car was the only 4wd which was surprising and annoying... where are all the GSR owners!!!!.

Temp was around a steady 30 deg for most of the day with moderate easterly winds.
My clutch is shagged so I was launching fairly soft (around 4000rpm). Here is a break down on my runs

1 : 13.67 @ 100.55mph 60' 2.02sec (std GSR BOV and around 0.8bar boost)
2 : 13.63 @ 100.55mph 60' 1.94sec (as above)
3 : 13.99 @ 97.93mph 60' 2.04sec (as above + HEAPS of clutch slip)
4 : 13.21 @ 105.38mph 60' 2.03sec (fitted Blitz BOV and let clutch cool down a bit)
5 : 13.47 @ 103.32mph 60' 2.02sec (dropped boost trying to stop clutch slip - didn't work)
6 : 13.38 @ 104.16mph 60' 2.00sec (boost up a bit to around 1 bar)
7 : 13.68 @ 103.80mph 60' 2.12sec (farken clutch)
8 : 13.84 @ 104.04mph 60' 2.22sec (#$%@& clutch. time to let it cool down....)
9 : 13.34 @ 103.68mph 60' 1.92sec (hmmm clutch is working better)
10: 13.91 @ 92.49mph 60' 2.09sec (1st elimination run 13.5 dial in... WIN!!)
11: 13.58 @ 92.68mph 60' 1.97sec (2nd elimination run 13.5 dial in... Lose!! :-(
12: 13.13 @ 105.88mph 60' 1.94sec (1st grudge race after a 30 min break - clutch gripped)
13: 13.23 @ 104.77mph 60' 1.94sec (last run of the day.DEFINITELY need a new clutch now)

Was a good day and could of had heaps more runs.... I still can't believe that no other GSR's were there to race.

Drag Wars

Yes we felt the same disapointing about the number of cars that didn't come who said they were. IF everyone came who said they were we would have had over 60 cars there easily on the day.

The show and shine trophy's / prizes was something seperatly organised from us in an effort to encourage those with cars to come on down and watch and possibly race as well.

There were winner and runner up trophy's for the two divisions of eliminations but not knowing how many cars were coming down made it very hard to organise trophy's in advance.

We are are already organising another even in March / April so hopefully we can make it work then if word goes out and people plan in advance.

One good thing- the Magna ran a PB of 14.7 downt he quarter mile on a FWD vehicle with still traction problems when launching.

I was impressed and I know if I could get some traction it would pull an easy 14.1 / 14/2 easiy.

Cool....

I ran a best time of 14.2 @ 96mph in my Mazda 323 4wd (obviously not traction problems) so yeah - low 14's should be achievable with some grip
