some simple swap questions
i am getting a 1996 lancer soon, it has a 4g15 engine in it, i want to swap this with either a 4g93t or a galant vr4 (4g63t), my questions are,
1. will the 4493 engine fit or is it the wrong way around (when did mitsu rotate thiir engines), i am just going to use fwd with the galant box so it should be easier than an awd conversion
2.will the engine harness just plug into the underdash/rest of the cars loom and ecu be plug and play (like nissans) or will i need to splice the harness.
3.are there any other conversions that are easier to do as far as wiring goes mivec etc
if somebody can answre some of these questions it would help me a lot

all gsr/vr4 pre 95 the engines are on the passanger side.
96lancer would be a CE correct??
the engine would be on the drivers side.
so anything from a 96 onwoods would be easier. im not sure what would be involved or even if possible to fit a engine from the earlier models.
not sure on the harness question but the loom "should" plug in i would think.

ive got a cm5a gsr lancer 1.8l turbo 4g93t
thinking of doing a 4g93t build with rods off a ca18det and 4agze pistons etc, semi forge the thing. im wondering whether i use the 4g93t engine which i know will bolt up no worries OR engine conversion to a 4g63t, i dont know if it would bolt up with no worries? does anyone know if the engine mounts, etc would be the same and what problems i may bump into when doing a 4g63t swap. would the 4g63t be too much torque for the 4g93t gearbox? i can get a 4g93t build done easily and those motors have potential. id also have to get a cert for a conversion so a 4g93t build is looking pretty good right now.
