Evo 8 in Brisbane!!
Evo 8 in Brisbane!!
Hey guys, i was talkin to my dad today who also is a truck driver... transporting the cars to the dealers fresh off the boat.....
anyway he told me he drove the new evos, and i'm thinking yeh another 7( he told me had seen a couple of evos 7s for rallying a while back at the docks). Then he began tellin me that they covered bits of the cars, like the badges.... Then i asked him does it have 5 or 6 speed? he goes 6, so thats definately an evo8...
Soo i'm thinkin mayb they are testing the evo8 to see if can comply in Oz or something.. i asked him where he dropped the car off, and he said Mitsu, Nundah....
And no he did not go for a good test drive, just drove the car to the trailer then off the trailer to the dealer.

i am near nundah, the other day went past and saw a red evo 8 i am pretty sure, they seem to get a few nice lancers at nundah, last time they had a black, silver, red and white tm evo 6's so i wouldn't be supprised if it was an evo 8. Is it true these are cheaper then an evo 7??
people are saying around 65grand for a evo8, which is good and bad in a way i think... good cause its in the same price league as a sti, so its kinda a level playign field....
however, didnt' the evo6 cost like 80grand, and its been on sale for a year or so, it prob hasn't quite depreciated to 65k (dealer price)yet...
so would u want a evo8 or evo6, where they are roughly the same price?

I agree, I dont not want Evo's to be too attainable. With the "supposed" price drop it will make them to easy for company executives/managers to have. It is a true performace car for the true enthustiast, and I feel that will change if the price is dropped. I feel the high price is a good thing.
