Clutch Time !

K, the excessive power of my 4G15 (cough) has finally clagged my clutch... or was it my driving style ? neways, i can get the new standard clutch for bout $150, but has neone changed thiers yet ? if so, did you remove the engine and gearbox ? or where you able to slide the gearbox out by itself ?

Any thoughts please !

Pete

I had mine done for me so I don't know how they did it. I put a heavy duty one in, much better. Whilst it was all out I got the flywheel lightened, you might as well seeing as you are at that end.

Dunno about the flywheel, as i plan on the clutch being done by me and mate ( qualified mechanic), just wanted to know if neone has tried to do this yet, on what to look out for ? atm its still driveable, if i drive like a grandma, but i guess after this experience, might be time to stop my habits of winter driving

Least it lasted 3 years with me driving it !

.

Just out of interest, how much did it cost to get someone to change your clutch?
