Spark Plugs

Hey everyone,

Just wondering what you all think the best spark plugs are. What the advantages/disadvantages are over cheaper ones. Thanks.

Thumbs up Raptors recommendation

My good friend

For Lancer use NKG Iridium plugs. About $18.00 ea. I am using the same set in the Lancer as I had in my supercharged camry from some years ago. They still perform well and increased the Kw at the flywheel in both cases. Both cars are/were supercharged.

They are 8x harder than Platinum and require less voltage to arc over which is important when boost is introduced.

Iridium - highly recommended.

I think there are Iridium 2 plugs available now. Don't know if there'd be much of a difference though.

What about leads to go with them? I know NGK make leads as well.

Talking Which plugs

For any Mitsubishi use only Iridium plugs for best performance. That goes for Lancers, Evos, Magnas, Pajeros, 3000 GT, and on and on.

Iridium are without fault in every aspect so far a sparkplugs go.

Iridium plus 98 Octane Unleaded Premium is just a perfect combination for excellent performance.............period.

Warning, do not use Octane boosters with Iridium plugs, can cause an unusual fouling of the insulator although if use of the Octane booster ceases the problem cleans up after a week.

Yes, it does. I haven't used Iridium plugs with it but I had normal NGK Plugs in and used Octane Booster which stuffed up my spark plugs all together. I am currently using Bosch Super 4's ($38 for 4) but it would be much better to spend a few dollars more and get the iridiums.

Cheers
