Lancer Turbo
I have been researching this turbo thingy lately as well. The consensus about boost is 6psi max, rip the motor apart if you are going to go more.
A turbo to do the job is the Garrett GT22, I can provide more detail on that if necessary.
GT series are taking about 4 months from order stage until delivery from Japan.
GT22 ballbearing turbo price is around $2000.

To be honist it is not worth turbocharging the engine, when so many other options are available. The turbo works well on the EVO but the standard Lancer is a totially different car. Please keep that in mind.

Options
Mivec
I am certainly not up to speed with the options available since I have only just become a Lancer owner. Could you list them and how much they might cost. This will help me at the very least.
That particular kit I have shown may be suprisingly cheap. It was developed in an asian country whose currency is well below ours I think!!
Thanks

Some updated information for the new lancer owners.
(A) RPW does produce a specific turbo kit for the new 2.0 lancers using a GT-28 garret ball bearing turbo not the GT-25. You can run up to 10 psi with a front mounted intercooler with no engine // gearbox problems of any kind (Manuel) before needing to tinker with the engine.
ABove 10 psi needs a decompression head gasket but otherwise direct bolt on.
The automatic model cars I personally do not recomend going above 8 psi even with an intercooler as they are not as strong as the manuel boxes.
(B) We are doing the FTO 2.0 V6 mivec conversions on the CE Lancers right now and will be producing a kit including new designed block hugger headers with them. wE are doing a conversion in approx 1 month on a car with a Haltech computer.
(C) The 4G92 Mivec may be rated by mitsubishi at 130kw but it is not even close to reality. We have dyno tested them after fitting them to a lancer with a Haltech and extractors and am only getting 130kw from them then with massive tuning work.
Good conversion for early model CC Lancers but not for the CE Lancers.
