Thumbs up I relocated my pod filter

I was sick of my pod filter sucking in hot air so yesterday i finally did something about it! i got some flexible tubing (i forget what they call it) from Autobarn and i ran that from my airflow sensor, down a gap next to my battery, My Pod filter is now sitting comfortably behind my passenger side driving light. i supported it with some cable ties through some existing holes in the chassis. You cant see it from the front of my car so it's deffinatly high enough not to scrap on speed humps and i deffinatly can feel it been a bit more responsive! the inside of the tubing is fairly smooth but it's obviously gonna have some grooves in it to make it flexible, would this restrict much air compared to something 100% smooth or would i not really feel the difference?

Hmmmmm, how thick is the piping? That would be a big factor in how much difference a non smooth pipe would make.

what do you mean by thick? as in how thick are the sides or how big is the opening?

How wide is the piping.... Opening. If its a substantial thickness I dont think corragation would have an extreme difference to the airflow.

Dont let her out on the street by herself *coughs*

I mean, that shouldnt be a huge problem, not a noticable difference in my eyes... although dont quote me on that.

im thinking bout ditching the pod and putting the air box in coz i reckon you'd get more flow if the pipe was open ended and pointed straight out the bottom front of my car, what you think? with an upgraded air filter of course,
