Lightbulb Air Suspension - whats your say

Hey all,
Does anyone have or know someone who has air suspension? I found a place that sells DIY kits for many different cars (LANCERS included).

Now they said it improves your ride alot, so just wanted to know what you got to say.

Read the FAQ the stuff it can do it awesome, i contacted one of the ppl there and asked how high or low it can really go, and they said about as high as when you jack up the car and let the wheels drop "off roader", or as low it gets

Yeah im keen on getting them as well. I was thinking either air bags or hydrolics. Im leaning towards air bags. Its on my list of things to do....its a long list. If anyone has had it done, not a D.I.Y kit, but in a shop, how much did it cost?

Hehe dont we all have a niiice long list for Santa!
Id advise you go the airbag option, from what ive been reading (i think the hydrolic is illegal), because when you turn the car off, the pressure drops and your car drops to the ground (so does air eventually), and cops can defect your car for being too low.

I don't know about that hey.... One of my mates, the place he rents has an old old car underneath it and its got hydaulics on it... I saw a similar one down the gold coast and the skirts were almost sitting on the grass... and this came standard on them... like back in the 50's... I can't remember for the life of me what type of car it is but its european so who knows.

I interested in getting airbags as well for my lancer. Has anyone got a quote for a kit that suits lancers diy or custom? the website lists a kit for lancers but seems pricey and not much info regarding difference amongst the cheaper kits

Holy Crap
I just went down to my local suspension specialist to get a quote on their airbag kits, just out of curiosity. There kit is approx $4000 unfitted. I knew they would be expensive...just not that expensive. Im assuming down south kits are prolly cheaper but i wouldnt think to much cheaper. I think im just gonna stick to the Kings Springs

there is a place in Perth that does them and for a fully fitted up kit including the playstation controls $7000.... I think I can wait for the fad to be over and the price to drop before I get it

when we got our 4wd (import) it came with adjustable suspenssion control inside the car but for it to get passed and licensed it had to be disabled - W.A has the softest car rules in the country now for them to say you can't have them I would imagine it would be the same through out the country just check with the people that are selling them as to legalities and then make up your mind it may be that you could also get a permit to have this on the car as well to make it legal

I heard bags are better than the cylinders but I also heard that its better to go with a heavier duty bag because little rocks and other crap can get up in the bag and when you drop the car it could break the bag. This site is sick..i was about to buy the silver civic on the top of the page.its on cylinders, and its an awesome set up!!! http://www.airbagit-store.com/default.asp?redir=1
