Attaching a Muffler !
Guys i just got a Muffler for my CE lancer Coupe 1.5
Its Phat
But how do i attach it?
its 2.5 cm's at the start with a 3.5 tip..so itl fit fine, but does it need to be welded or anything :S
are there brackets or something i can get so it will slide on or something...
Thanx

Take it to an exhaust shop mate - they will put your car up on a hoist, remove the old one, and weld the new one on. About a half hour and a $50 charge. Yes, it needs to be welded, these things need better connection than cable ties/sticky tape.
The exhaust shop will just flange (stretch) out the stock exhaust pipe to fit your muffler's inlet. He may need to put a little bit of larger diameter pipe between the two if he can't do it in one go.
btw, I think you mean 2.5 inches, not centimetres. If not, its a damn small inlet and wont gain you anything. In fact, you'll lose power.

Exactly my thoughts.. eithertake it to someone who can weld the pipe for you and make a new rear axelback ( well trailing arm back) or take it down to an exhaust place, they'll be able to do it there for you
Pete.
