Evo8 Insurance Quotes

Where does everyone intend to obtain insurance. I had a quote from Just Cars earlier this year based on a $65k purchase......cost was around $2500.

Anyone had any other quotes or more up to date quotes now (most of) the details are available?

Regards

Have you tried Shannons ? they are pretty good for exotic/sports cars for insurance, and i'm sure they let you modify.

Same as you wombata - just on $2500 with Shannons, at the same 65K. Keep in mind thats for a standard car, but they will let you do the exhaust in my experience before you really need to list your mods more thoroughly.

Hmm, my Evo 6 with an agreed value of $45,000 was quoted $3700 with 60% no claim.

Am I a bad driver (3 speeding tickets in last 5 years, 1 at fault claim), or is it that I'm living in Sydney?

300477,

Another Adelaide EVO owner - what colour did you order / get?

Insurance price sounds good - Darren from Yorke mentioned another insurance company M&B or something, I have forgotten the name, did he suggest this to you?

I will try RAA (I have them for my Rex at the moment at a very good price) and will report back...

From what i have investigated, keep away from the mainstream people and try for a broker, the same deal as what i found with my sx.

I ordered and have been given red. Pick up very late next week.

I now have a vin and engine number so im starting to get a bit excited. Mine appears to be number 9 in the batch of 100, as the "body no." is 000009.

I will be giving shannons a call and see if they will beat the just cars price.

Rmm Rmm, are you planning any mods on your evo? if so what and through who? any chance of comparing notes and thoughts?

My initial mods will be full exhaust and some sort of air intake at this stage. Maybe a unichip too ?

Cheers

Shane

As promised news of RAA quote - $2,395.65 (>30yrs in good suburb with rating 1).

Looks like I will be calling Just Cars and any others that turn out to be a good price on this forum...

300477 - I will post my mod notes against the mod forum question - good idea to compare notes...
