Just found this review of the Evo. It is the most informative information i have read about the evo!!!!! ITS A MUST READ!! Even interesting for you US guys!!

They have done a comparison Evo VIII v STi here is a quote below!!:

"Without a stopwatch it feels considerably slower than the Evo.(referring to the sti) But an unscientific side-by-side encounter showed that the Evo is fractionally quicker than the STi and feels better matched to its gear ratios -- despite Mitsubishi's conservative estimates."

Great - thanks for the info, interesting that the indicator will be on the left - not sure I could be bothered changing it to the right for $500.

So far so good regarding my decision to not buy the STI and wait for the EVO - next week pick up - can't wait...

Here in the US, Motor Trend clocked the Evo '03at 0-60 mph (0 - 100 = 62 MPH) in 4.59 seconds. So Yeah, 0-62 in 6.1 is a little slow. Must have shifted into 3rd early...............
