The way things seem at present it may very well be a worldwide release. Let's hope so, right?

I actually thought the VIII and new Suby were slight improvements on the VII and MY01/02. I reckin both companies F#*KED up big time by changing so radically from pre - 2000 shapes in the first place!

Sandman,

Good taste bro. The Evo 6 TM is rather yummy also.

I spoke with a MMC representative recently who implied that the Evo 8 would only be released in the U.S. The 8 will most likely be a slightly heavier less powerful version of the 7. These changes were dictated by the US market conditions. Why penalize markets that are less restrictive. The seven is still very young. I guess we wait and see.

It would be nice to see the Evolution as a permanente fixture in the Australian line up. Would be good to if the price did drop to be more competitive with the STI but as we all know the EVO is a better car and you get what you pay for. Also it gives it a little more prestige, being out of reach of the common company executive.

Mitsubishi said they would bring the EVO 8 here straight away, but that is also what they said about the EVO 7 But you never know. It would be great to see them getting around although the EVO 7 has the better looks. This is the time you wish you were in N.Z.

Cheers
