I came up to your shop 2 weeks ago and went over a list of parts i am going to be installing in my evo in about 500 miles. My engine rebuilt break in period will be over and i figured since my warranty is done I might as well take the plunge.

I'm looking around at various cams and having difficulty choosing. I originally thought about 272 HKS cams but i'm not sure that will do what i'm hoping for. The car is basically a street car that will see a few track events. I want the best results through-out the powerband and not just on top end. any input from you guys would help alot.

Also i was looking into the Works throttle body and wondering what your opinions are for it. I'm only shooting for 350whp and probably going to call it a day for a while once i'm there and i'm not sure what the limitations of the stock throttle body are and if it is even worth the $400 for the Works one.

 

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you I completely missed this thread. I would go with HKS 264 Intake and 272 exhaust for your car with a 350whp goal in mind and as far as a throttle body goes...


We are at 700 and still use the stock throttle body so I think you might want to hold on to the stock one.

thanks eric. I think i'm going to go with the relover cams but i'm going to hold off on the major mods until spring. I'll be up in a few weeks to do a full EMS tune though before the weather gets really cold.
