Lookin' good.

You guys aren't too far from me, I think. I'm at the SBC building at Arlington Heights and Algonquin roads.

I might have to drop by and see what we can do about a turbo for this little 4G94.

Unfortunately it's not my decision as to who's dyno numbers I can and can't post. But I will say that it made very respectable horspower considering they tuned it with the restrictor plate that the SCCA rules require.

You guys have a awd/4wd dyno? Or did you dyno the front wheels? I thought GRD and some other shop had a awd/4wd dyno in chicago.

We have a 2wd dyno, all we do is convert to fwd. For subarus we will have the part soon to convert to rwd for dyno. The shop has also just bought a WRX wagon for product development, so look forward to some new products in the coming months.

Quick question but converting the car to FWD, doesn't that involve locking out the center diff? Just trying to make sure. Also, wouldn't your power numbers by locking out the rear wheels slightly (marginal amount I'd assume) raise your WHP numbers since there's less drivetrain loss?

Your very correct, it does raise the whp numbers a little bit but it also takes ou the guess work of trying to figure out what percentage of drivetrain loss that particular car has due to lightweight driveline components, or other drivetrain modifications. The theory is, that the least number of power transfers you have (ie. crank to flywheel, Flywheel to clutch, clutch to trans, etc. etc...) and the least amount of drivetrain weight and friction between the dyno and the engine you have. You take out alot of the human error in trying to calculate the magic drivetrain loss percentage. I mean you can easily pick up somewhere between 5 and 15 whp just by jacking up the tire pressure, also a good set of lightweight rims will up your whp numbers, all we are trying to do is take out all of the guess work possible.

I'm sorry if I come across harshly, I don't mean any harm by my tone. That's just me.

Do you only turbo or do you install quad tb's and what not.
I am asking since i live in Peoria, which is only a little drive compared to the other shops that offer performance parts for the lancer

We can do a quad throttle body setup for you, we would probably need you to stop by so that we could check out tyour setup though.

Thanks

Yes he's here. We still order stuff from you just somebody else does the calling now. I'll probably be giving you a call about a new set of rims and tires for the EVO
