SPIKETV, Car & Driver TV, July 3, 12:00 pm CTD, you will catch a glimpse of it at the end running a SCCA course. They mainly talked with the S2000 driver b/c he took home on of the trophies, but I still got to heard a little spool out of the 2.3.

Can an AMS employee confirm if that was from One Lap or not?

 

That was from the Car & Driver Race Series, which is an autocross/skidpad/100 yard drag race deal.

We did win class, but because there were more people in the S2000s class he won the event. (points from beating more cars.. blah)

We did run behind him on the autocross course, and a little behind him on the skidpad (he is much more sorted than we are, but we are working on it) But we were pretty much the fastest on the 100 yard drag strip (but i red lit my 4.6 second run)

The next day we won overall every event, but again because we had fewer cars in class another car was given overall..

Either way we did what we wanted by getting the AMS car on TV, we got to learn a little bit more about the direction we need to go with setup, and i had a blast going 0-80 mph in 4.6 seconds.

BTW.. it will be on again Today (Sunday July 3rd) at 12:00pm (noon) on Car & Driver Television on Spike TV.

i thought AMS car was a 2.0 built not a 2.3.....

 

That AMS evo is just sick...seeing it run 10.01 or whatever at Norwalk a few months ago just moved me....

 

In drag race trim, the AMS car runs a 2 liter engine, for roadracing, we have been running the 2.3 liter AMS stroker platform. (more torque for pulling off corners at low rpm)

In that video actually, the 2 liter engine was in the car, along with the 3071 turbo.

We are hoping to have a dedicated car setup soon for roadracing, and I hope it has the 2.3 with the GT35r
