Thanks, AMS

Let me tell you what happened to my new AMS 3071 kit. I ordered this kit from AMS about 3 weeks ago and everything was going great. Received the kit and all I can say is pure beauty. I look at the turbo and check the intake fin out with my finger and the fins bind against the housing. Sh*t. I call Eric and he says it is a bad turbo from Garrett and to send it back. OK. I go to UPS send the package back. Eric calls and says "you're not going to believe this, the box with the turbo came and had a 8 inch hole in the corner of the box. The turbo was hanging out and was broke completly in half. I kid you not. Broke in half. NOW....I filed a claim with UPS, they came to AMS and looked at the package and said " Yeah we did that!" NO SH*T. Eric immediatly turned my new turbo back to me in no time, and I received it today. Perfect shape.

Long story even longer, Thanks AMS you have been the best people to deal with I have come across in the import car business. I hate I didn't buy all my parts from you guys.

When I first graduated from college I worked as a carpenter. When I f'ked up framing a closet, the badass journeyman that I was working with said: "Everyone makes mistakes, what makes a good carpenter is how fast you recover from them."

AMS has made a few mistakes, lately, some their fault, and some the fault of their suppliers. What I have been impressed with is that Eric and the crew don't point fingers, they just make it right for the customer. They have consistently and quickly "recovered" from the various mistakes that I know have been made recently regarding my orders and a friend's. They were never argumentative with the customer and have even done a few things that was clearly above and beyond what they needed to do. I'm sure that Eric and Martin have put their foot up someone's a$$ over there to not make mistakes in the first place . Nevertheless, in the end, I am glad I chose AMS for my major engine/turbo upgrades.

By the way, it was interesting getting the impressions of the Tuning Technologies' mechanic Aaron as he installed your 3071 turbo kit. (He has installed a bunch of different kits lately). He was saying stuff like "Dayum look at the way this support brace fits, perfect! This is the best fitting kit we have ever installed. Everything has room and is easy to reach." Good job on that kit!

I'll join in...

When I was first told about AMS and that they might be running One Lap and doing some roadrace stuff I started keeping a watch on this board to see what they were about. I was always impressed with how Eric and others would answer people's questions and the way they handled it. Watching the customer service in action and hearing the positive stories from customers excited me about working with Martin and the gang. After testing at Little Talladega and meeting Eric and Martin I was even more impressed. Later I had the pleasure of working with Justin, who does the fabrication of those oh so well fitting parts, and saw an approach and work ethic seldom matched.

The AMS team is a great group, at the track, in the shop or behind the counter, and its great to hear that when I send people to them and talk about them, my words will be backed up.

I can also vouch for AMS. I had a minor problem and they corrected it with no questions asked(unlike other "tuners" that I've dealt with in the past). I cannot describe how AMS has helped me out when my Evo was down. Believe me, you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to recieve top notch customer service, because I didn't. I didn't get a chance to trick out my Evo due to issues with the car itself, and wrong choices of modifications. And even with the small amount of mods that I've purchased from AMS, they treated me as if I was paying their salary. These guys are truly dedicated to maintain their reputation as one of the top Mitsubishi tuners in the industry. That is why when I get my new Evo, AMS will recieve all of my business. Thank you Martin, Eric, Arne, and Tim for helping me and I'm looking forward to doing business with you when I get my new Evo.

Wow thanks guys, with all the negativity that is broadcasted regarding shops lately its nice to see these thank you's. We really do try our hardest. 90% of the people that work here are very very accredited and could make ALOT more money in other fields but we love this line of work and dont have a problem getting up in the morning to do it. some of us put in 70 hour plus weeks here to get stuff done. It is a rarity if more then two nights a week we get out of here before midnight. Thanks again guys

I too would like to thank AMS for fixing all my little problems and making them right. All I can say is that my turbo kit looks beautiful in my engine bay. You guys have been outstanding with your customer service and the way you handle things in a fast and professional matter.

I think Eric is probably getting tired of me calling him at least twice a week for the last month or so, but he has been cool and does not give me the runaround on things.

Thanks guys...
