gt35 vs gt37

This has prolly been covered before bt im still a little unsure. My evo is the only car I own so it must retain its everyday driveablity. I would like join the 11 second club along with many of you other members. Id love the GT37r kit bc im very impressed with the #'s and passes its made nut is the GT35 more practical for me? I plan on the AMS 2.3 stroker later as well. (probably right before winter) so my question could i spend the extra few bucks and get the 37 and keep the same driveablity as a 35. thanx guys.

The difference is like 100 bucks, just get the 37R. You know the saying, Go big or go home.

You might want to look at some other options like a 50 trim. If you call AMS they can help you with the decision. Last time I called I got more info than I ever wanted, but it was great. With a 2.3 a 50 trim will retain great driveability and a crazy quick spool. You may even find that you don't need the stroker kit with the lower spool of the 50 trim. The 50 trim will put you deep in to the 11's, a GT series will get you in to the 10's with the right mods. It'll save you some cash to spend elsewhere too. Keep us updated.

What's you're goal? 500whp, 600 whp, 700whp that should dictate what you buy based on the goals of the vehicle. If 650whp is not enough that a 35R won't cut the mustard and you'll have to look at other options.

11's can be attained with the stock turbo...just look at curt brown who went 10.9x with the stock turbo..

It just depends on your goals like Jasil said..

As for whp......I guess whatever gets me into the 11's without the turbo being maxed out I'd like to save something for when I add more mods

Just max out the stocker than and go from there you'll be surprised at the difference between a stock and 115mph+ trapping EVO it's totally different. Just buy mods that work well with a bigger turbo.

thats what i was thinking. buying mods that work with a larger turbo so when i do the swap i dont have to buy parts all over again.

Im going with the 35R, see with the 37R to really make it stand out and make more power over the 35 you need the right mods, like 3inch intercooler piping, race head, twin pumps exc... for 600whp the 35 is the way to go. if your looking for 700 whp, and willing to spend $$ on all the best parts to get there, then the 37R is for you. the diffrence of 100 is not much, but 300- 400 more lag with the same power is. so in my case i went with the 35R
